The Arian Walker Hannon-Kohler Memorial Scholarship
The Arian Walker Hannon-Kohler Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life and legacy of a man whose kindness, perseverance, and selflessness touched everyone he met. This scholarship is awarded annually to deserving students who embody Arian’s values and demonstrate a commitment to serving others.
Who Is Eligible?
The recipients of the Arian Walker Hannon-Kohler Memorial Scholarship must demonstrate:
- Selfless Acts of Kindness – A strong dedication to helping others in their community.
- Service to the Community – A history of volunteer work or leadership that uplifts others.
- Good Moral Character – Integrity, respect, and a positive influence on those around them.
Scholarship applicants should be students at East Stroudsburg High School South or individuals who have a proven track record of making a difference in their community.
how recipients are chosen
Each year, Mila’s Mulligans proudly awards two scholarships to graduating seniors from East Stroudsburg South High School in honor of Arian’s legacy of kindness, leadership, and community spirit. These scholarships are selected by two beloved educators who played a meaningful role in Arian’s life throughout his high school journey. Each recipient receives a $1,500 scholarship to support their future education.
Special Needs Volunteer Scholarship – Selected by Aimee Ellison
Awarded to a student who demonstrates exceptional compassion and dedication through volunteer work with the special needs community.
This scholarship honors students who, like Arian, show up with heart—those who advocate for others, participate in programs like Special Olympics, and lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
Wrestling Leadership Scholarship – Selected by Coach Randy Litts
Awarded to a senior wrestler who embodies academic excellence, sportsmanship, and a strong commitment to their team and community.
This scholarship reflects Arian’s enduring connection to the wrestling program, even beyond graduation.
How to Apply
No formal application is needed. Recipients are carefully selected each spring by Ms. Ellison and Coach Litts based on the values and spirit that Arian lived by.
